This week Jason and Steve celebrate Jason’s acquisition of a PS5 by debunking the PS5 cartel and also discuss the effectiveness of boycotts. Spoilers – we don’t think they’re terribly effective. We then dive into what we’ve been playing which includes BioShock Infinite, Bugsnax, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and far too much Guilty Gear Strive.

As an additional note, I wanted to clarify that while we talk about boycotts in relation to the ongoing Activision-Blizzard situation we never explicitly state that the employees affected were not affiliated with the boycotts. While this is implied, we don’t outright say it. In all examples cited the audience is responsible for organizing the boycotts and this lack of cohesive leadership and direction is almost entirely the reason why they always fail. Please be mindful of that context while listening to the section of the podcast about boycotting.
